Barry Manilow Postpones Las Vegas Dates, But Says He’s Making ‘Great Progress’ in Cancer Recovery
Barry Manilow took to X on Friday afternoon to share an update about the cancerous spot on his lung. He said he is making “great progress” in his recovery, but his doctor told him he’s “not quite ready” to perform and must postpone some upcoming Las Vegas dates.
“Good news! I went to the doctor yesterday and he said I’m making great progress and look great,” Manilow wrote. “Well of course I do! Thank you very much! All the training and exercising I’ve put in is paying off. He did say, however, that I’m not quite ready for Vegas. That means I won’t be able to return for our May shows at [Westgate Las Vegas]. But the good news is he said I will be ready for my June arena shows in the UK. It’s going to be great to see you all in the UK. Westgate Las Vegas is my home away from home…and I’ll see you all in July. In the meantime…come to the UK! We’ll be there in June and hope you will be too! See you then… Barry.”

Manilow was set for a residency at the Westgate Las Vegas from Feb. 12-21. He postponed those dates just weeks prior while in recovery from cancer treatment. As noted by Manilow, he was set to return to the venue on May 7-9 and May 14-16, but, per his doctor’s recommendation, he won’t be able to make those shows.

As of now, Manilow has six dates scheduled in the UK: June 9 at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, June 11 at the First Direct Bank Arena in Leeds, June 13 at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool, June 14 at the Utilita Arena in Cardiff, June 16 at BP Pulse in Birmingham and June 17 at The O2 in London.

The “Mandy” singer announced in December 2025 that he had to undergo surgery to remove a cancerous spot on his lung after he finished a run of Christmas concerts. It was discovered during a check-up while on the mend from bronchitis.
