“Jersey Shore Family Vacation” is ending after its upcoming ninth season on MTV, which will premiere on May 7 and run for 18 episodes. “Jersey Shore Family Vacation” premiered in 2018 as a revival of “Jersey Shore,” which originally ran on MTV for six seasons from 2009 to 2012. It appears that no new “Jersey Shore” series are in the works at the network, as a press release notes that “this farewell season marks the culmination of a franchise that entertained millions with major life milestones, laugh-out-loud chaos, and the unfiltered chemistry that defined an era of reality television.”
The series is produced by SallyAnn Salsano, Frank Miccolis, Sean Hogan, Oren Krygier and Ashli Tortorello for 495 Productions. MTV’s Benjamin Hurvitz and Jennifer Aguirre serve as executive producers while Matthew Parillo and Marko Radosavljevic serve as executives in charge of production.
