“Love Island USA” Season 8 contestant Kenzie Annis has slammed rumors that she is a Trump supporter. Speculation started spreading amongst the “Love Island” fandom early in the season after fans started posting unverified screenshots from Kenzie’s Instagram account of her standing in front of Trump flags. On Thursday, she directly addressed the claims while on an Instagram livestream.
“That’s so funny ‘cause I’m not a Trump supporter, so you guys can fuck the fuck off!” she said. “Just because I’m blonde and white doesn’t mean I’m a fucking Trump supporter. What the hell?”
Kenzie was a contestant on the most recent season of “Love Island USA,” the ultra-popular dating show where a group of ready-to-mingle singles are dropped into Fiji to see if they can find true love. The audience is able to vote on who gets dumped from the island based on which couples are most compatible, including choosing the winning couple that ultimately gets awarded $100,000. While on the show, Kenzie had the most connections out of everyone, starting out the season with Zach Georgiou before being recoupled with Corbin Mims. She eventually got paired up with Caleb McDaniel and, after Casa Amor, met Dylan Wrona. The two were voted out of the villa right before finale night. Kenzie left the season before finale night with her final connection, Dylan, and the two recently made their relationship official. On Friday, Dylan wrote in an Instagram post: “Getting to know you in the villa was unforgettable, but falling for you in the real world was all too easy. It didn’t take me long to realize there was no other way — I had to make you my girlfriend! And what better place to do it than on the top of NYC.”
As the “Love Island USA” contestants get adjusted back to reality, fans can look forward to the official reunion episode, which will air Monday, Aug. 31 on Peacock at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET.
