Nine Inch Nails and Boys Noize Team as Nine Inch Noize for Collaborative Album
Nine Inch Nails and Boys Noize have teamed up as Nine Inch Noize for the collaborative album “Nine Inch Nails – Nine Inch Noize,” releasing on April 17.
The album announcement comes as no surprise, considering that they’re scheduled to perform as Nine Inch Noize live at Coachella on the Sahara stage this Saturday and the next. Little is known about the album itself other than the fact that Nine Inch Nails refer to it as “Halo 38” on social media, following the naming convention of past Nine Inch Nails albums and marking their 38th project.
Nine Inch Nails and Boys Noize (real name Alex Ridha) have collaborated numerous times over the past few years, beginning with a Boys Noize reworked version of Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross’ “Challengers” score. Boys Noize then contributed to the duo’s “Tron: Ares” soundtrack, where he was credited for both production and additional production on most of the songs. Their track “As Alive as You Need Me to Be” subsequently won best rock song at the 2026 Grammy Awards this past February.
Boys Noize also opened for Nine Inch Nails during their “Peel It Back” tour last year. During that tour, Reznor and Ross would travel to a B-stage in the middle of the show to perform with Boys Noize, who did live remixes of some of the group’s tracks. Some fans are speculating that those remixes could end up on “Halo 38.”
As Consequence of Sound notes, a billboard advertising the album was spotted on the route to Indio, California, the site of Coachella. Nine Inch Noize joins a lineup that also counts headliners Sabrina Carpenter, Karol G and Justin Bieber.
