Weekly Series ‘Women’s Sports Now’ Makes Big Move to ESPN Slot (EXCLUSIVE)
ESPN announced that it will bring “Women’s Sports Now” to the cabler April 16, making the weekly series available across all ESPN digital platforms throughout the season.
“Women’s Sports Now” moves from Roku, where it had a successful run. Every week, Emmy Award-winning sports reporter Suzy Shuster, two-time WNBA champion and Atlanta Dream co-owner Renee Montgomery, veteran broadcaster Colleen Wolfe and comedian and sports superfan Sarah Tiana break down scores, discuss issues and highlight athletes, coaches and other personalities from the world of women’s sports, including basketball, soccer, softball, volleyball and college athletics.

“Women’s Sports Now” will once again be presented by Miller Lite.

The show was developed in collaboration with APX Content Ventures, Rich Eisen Prods., Firefly Studios, Montgomery’s Think Tank Prods. and Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine.

The quartet on “Women’s Sports Now” not only get in-depth with their commentary and reporting, they also have a lot of fun covering it.
“I come to ‘WSN’ from a place of curiosity,” said Shuster. “Before ‘WSN’ and honestly before my daughter Taylor became a full-time hooper, I hadn’t covered women’s sports. Now, I look at the sports world through her eyes. ESPN and Miller Lite share our vision on covering the women who blow our minds daily with their phenomenal athleticism and their ability to juggle the inordinate demands of their professional and personal lives.”

It’s no secret that women’s sports are surging in popularity — the recent women’s NCAA final basketball matchup between UCLA and South Carolina drew 9.88 million viewers, a 16% rise from 2024; it is the third most-watched women’s final on record. ESPN is launching a prime time womne’s sports window this summer, driven by their internal data. The WNBA set broadcast records, as did USA women’s hockey and U.S. figure skating gold medalist Alyssa Liu during the Milan Winter Olympics.
